Some heartbreaking moments in this trailer. Truth be told, it really forces one to step back and think long and hard about the sort of colorism we may knowingly or unknowingly perpetrate on a daily basis through jokes, who we choose to enter relationships with, and the celebrities we hold up in our communities as exemplars of beauty. I’m glad that folks have decided to take up this issue on film, reminds us all of the sort of healing that needs to take place amongst our family, friends, and loved ones. There are some deep scars here. We simply can’t ignore them anymore.
